Vertical rear door seal shorter on one side

Featured Replies

The attached image is of the left hand ride rear door.

The door seal that is attached to the left edge of the rear door doesn't reach the bottom on this side.

On the drivers side rear door this same seal reaches the bottom.

Should I get them to change it?

Car 1 week old.

Wouldn't worry about it myself; not going to effect anything and it's not uncommon the find one thing on one side fitted a fraction differently to that on the other side.

You cheered me up, as didn't really want the dealer messing with door seals. Suppose it's slightly more obvious as my car is white.

Out of pure interest I looked at mine yesterday. Same situation as you, but I couldn't care less, been 10K miles now and never noticed (until I started looking for it, stupid internet forums!)

I checked mine and they both go to the bottom of the door but I don't think a small gap would make any odds as the bottom of the door is open anyway.
