Faulty injectors in a brand new car!

Featured Replies

Bought a brand new Fabia a week ago. After driving it for about 500km I noticed that starting the car requires to hold the starter a bit longer than normal. Took it to my local dealer (in Israel) and they diagnosed faulty injectors! How bad luck is that! This completely ruined the experience of buying a new car for me :(

Maybe I'm exaggerating but all I'm thinking of is what else is wrong with the car... bummer...

If anything else does go wrong just keep taking it back till its sorted for you, that's why warrenty is well worth having :) hope your happy again once it's back. Mike

Tough luck, but try not to worry about it. The injectors are electronic and if they are going to fail then it will normally happen very early in the cars life. Bit like a lightbulb, it will either last a long time or fail very quickly. They are tremendously easy to replace and you won't get anymore trouble.

Are you sure that the injectors have gone, because i was gettting powerloss so took it in to the garage, and the 'disgnosed' it as faulty injectors, but with me leaving it with them, they found out it was actually faulty spark plugs

My Scirocco was initially mis-diagnosed as faulty injectors..it was duff plugs (they also changed coil packs, I think!).
