Hello everyone.

I have recently become a Skoda Superb (03 Reg) owner, largley due to a lot of positive comments I have read on this forum.

The car seems to have been very well taken car of and really low milage for it's age (70K Miles). I would just like to ask for some advice regarding what to look out for maintenance wise to keep the car in tip - top shape. Also can anyone recommend a good affordable authorized garage in the Manchester area. I think it would be a good idea for someone to check it over and recommend when next to come in for a service and what things are next due for a change or repair.

Ooh one more question, the keyfob doesn't seem to have a long range (i.e I have to be standing really close to the door for it to work) is this normal? - I have already changed the battery TNA.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome - recently joined this forum myself and everyone is very helpful. I am from Plymouth so cant advise on garages in your area.

It might be worth your while having a full service and changing all your filters. At least you know what has been done and whats not. I am at the age where I just take my car to the garage. I have my own local garage who charges reasonable rates and makes a good job of it. I wont pay large garages fancy rates.
