Loads more spec

I'm asking for £7,500 as the car is.

I've started listing modded parts from the car incase I get no interest but if you're planning on buying a vrs and doing this yourself this will save you a hell of a lot of time and money.

How I wish you'd listed this a little earlier, having just picked up an SE myself last Saturday!!

not that I'm unhappy with my car, but loving the spec of yours...

oh well, good luck with the sale

Bump

would have expected more torque then that for 200bhp?

Depends what you're after. Mine runs 203bhp and much the same torque (+/-290lb/ft) as it did with 172bhp. It pulls much higher up the rev range to the redline.

Fancy swapping for my Type R? : )

Not the full fat map as it only has a standard clutch, New about 50 miles ago at that... along with the dual mass. New pd150 hybrid still not fitted. The car has just cracked a piston and is in for a new top end. might consider 2.0tdi... details of the type R please mate?

new bottom end surely? Top end will be fine.

What do you do to make them 2.0? longer stroke or wider bore or what? **** knows what im doing. it has to be fixed though.. The only engines I know are 2stroke and when the piston goes we call it the top end (piston cylinder head) the 2.0 is a 16v i think so would have a different top end.

Yeah, you can't mix and match 2.0 parts. There are options for reboring the bottom end and using slightly bigger pistons on the stock rods & crank, to increase displacement to 2.0 litres. However, even I'VE not done this yet so shows how tough/awkward it is. :D Better off rebuilding the 1.9 and find out if you can see why there was enough heat build up to ruin a piston. Either something has simply got too hot through use, or could be oil degradation or lack of oil?
