oil leak from front of engine

Featured Replies

Hi

been trying to solve a little oil leak which was suspected to be the rocker gasket so replaced that and cleaned it all up but the leak is still there and its running down the front and under the sump where it will then drip lightly.

anyone know whats at the front that is oil fed??? are there any lines etc there? its not major but problems bug me, i like a 100% problem free car lol im abit anal like that.

:)

If it's engine oil...

Dipstick

Oil filter

Oil Cooler

ive changed the dipstick already as it was snapped in half so il look at the filter & cooler. hopefully the filter just needs tightening as it was serviced 3 weeks ago. :)

Double check the sump plug. You may think it's dripping down, but it may be being forced up.

will do :)

Oil pressure sensor and Crankshaft position sensors (at the front of the engine) also have seals that are prone to leaking.
