Just a quick question, my vrs has got two different mirror glasses, the o/s one has no tint and the n/s one is tinted blue. Was this how they came from factory or has the previous owner replaced it at some point with the wrong one?

Cheers in advance. Also if anyone has the part number for the correct glass (o/s or n/s) I'd appreciate it.

Probably the un tinted one.

I don't have a prt number but if you give a dealer a shout with reg you should get the right one, not cheap though about £40 IIRC

should have a blue tint from new(mine did)

Mine weren't tinted but have replaced them with blue ones. The Mk 4 Golf mirror glass will fit BUT the connections for the heated element are on the far edge of the mirror and the wires would need to be extended. I ended up getting Octavia blue mirrors instead of extending the wires.

My mark 2 from new 56 plate ( Green calipers )were plain originally I replaced with Blue tinted, my mates 58 plate were blue standard
