Amundsen Plus in my Yeti Urban - Switch to Siri instead of Built in Voice Control

Hi - I have searched - I promise!

I've recently got my new Skoda Urban 2.0tdi, and it has the Amundsen Plus Sat Nav system built in.

Is it possible to use Siri for voice control through my iPhone, when I press the voice control button on the built in Amundsen - if so - how do I switch to using Siri through Bluetooth instead of the built in one....

I hope this makes sense....

Bluapunkt only make one RNS310, they just change it cosmetically. The difference between Amundsen & Amundsen + is that some or all of the options are activated

I as far as I know its impossible to input anything to the Eprom (the chip that is writable too) unless via the controls on the unit using CD & SD.

The Amundsen probably does not contain the necessary codec's for the Nav to decode any other sound apart from those in the DAT files.

At the moment I am playing with new voices. Seeing as the mapping is by TomTom / Tele Atlas, I just have to find a way to decode the DAT & SO files

I have my 4s attached to my dashboard using a brodit clip as I use it with the tomtom app.

Pressing the Siri button on the iPhone whilst connected uses the inbuilt car system automatically. I don't think it will be long after ios6 comes out that we will be able to buy a stand alone Siri button that will activate the iPhone whilst it is still in your pocket.

Yeah - I've come to just press the Siri button myself on the phone, ideally though I'd like to just pop it in the glove box and not worry about it.... Maybe blaupunkt will give us a software update to do this from the Amundsen....
