reverse censores

Featured Replies

hallo all,

has any one had problems with reverse censores been on all the time as soon ass you select reverse, have tried cleaning them but no difference.

thanks for eny info.

chas.

They sometimes get water in them which can send them loopy.

More likely one of the sensors has packed in.

The sensors emit a very light clicking noise when working. Ignition on, car in reverse, handbrake ON, then stick your ear up against each of the four sensors. the one that isn't clicking is the one that needs replacing.

Or simply get your car scanned and it'll tell you instead!

i did what was sugested and yes one not clicking, asume this one faulty,my next problem is can you purchase these one at a time, and do i have to go to a main dealer for this, also do i have to remove the bumper to fit.

thanks,

chas.

Yes, the sensors are available seperately.

Lots and lots on eBay, but check with your main dealer first as they aren't always as expensive as you'd expect.

Here is one I found:

Be careful though as there are a few different types. If you ring up your local Skoda dealer with your chassis/VIN number they will provide you with the correct part number free of charge.

Bumper removal isn't neccessary but can make it easier.
