Clutch adjustment?

Featured Replies

Got a fab vrs here and has previously had a single mass flywheel conversion and new clutch. Problem is, well not really a problem but could be better, is the biting point is very close to the floor, so quite easy to jerk away from a standstill less one rides the clutch to get a smooth get away. Luckily being diesel its not easily stalled.

I guess though being a hydraulic system, there is no adjustment available. Would bleeding it make any difference?

bleeding may make a difference, but a solid flywheel does require a bit more care when driving, they dont have that give in them (nor do they collapse)

Sorry to resurrect this Lee, but is it my old Fab you're talking about? If so, I never fitted a SMF - the original DMF went back in when the clutch was replaced just before you got it as it was fully checked and in fine fettle :)
