The speed reading isn't all that accurate.

It's about 10% below the dashboard reading , and people with GPS have suggested that the correct reading is about half way between the two

I don't know if it's different on the Octy, but the GPS I use in my Fabia shows about a 5% difference from the speedo reading (32=30 and 74=70), which seems about right, judging by what Dr Zoid's just said...

If it makes any difference, the speedo readings actually far more accurate than I thought! :rolleyes:

Not with the Mk1 octavia. It only shows speed in km/h
