urgent help needed

Featured Replies

just got in from driving home and about 5 mins from home my glow plug light started flashing . i pulled over and restarted the car but it still continued . Also the rear brake lights are now permanently on is this related to the glow plug warning light ? thankyou

i have splugged my code reader in and it does not bring up any fault codes ?

Hi, I've read on here about this before and I can't for the life of me remember what causes it, but IIRC the two are related, hopefully somebody more knowledgeable will be along to help.

A faulty brake light switch will give the symptoms that you describe. Part number 1C0945511ARDW and around 15 minutes with a T20 torx should sort it.

Yep, sounds like a brake light switch to me.

As the others have said, brake light sender switch behind the brake pedal - £8-10 for the part.

When mine failed it logged a fault code under something that wasn't the engine section - have you looked everywhere?
