New Citigo on order

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Ok I did the deed today and ordered the following:

Citigo 1.0 Elegance 75PS GreenTech 3dr

Tornado Red/Onyx

Entertainment pack

Summer pack

Convenience pack

Temporary spare wheel.

Obviously haven't got a build week yet, but I was told by the salesman it may be with me late August, but more probably in September.

So the wait begins...

  • I feel an email to the dealer coming on. If up owners can change VW's mind we might have a chance of doing the same ?

  • How much is the extra key with buttons going to cost? Can't say I'm that worried as the last four cars have never seen the spare key used. It's just kept in a safe place for emergencies.

Snap

Except the spare wheel, i got told by my dealer 14 weeks that was nearly 2 weeks ago

Yes, I noticed that!

Seems a long time to wait, but that's the way it is, I guess.

Although i expect it to be nearer to 10 weeks so beginning of september.

Although i have seen a 5dr with ivory interior and black exterior and it looked well smart, not sure if i should change my order to have the black paint what do you think?

Personally, I would never have a black car.

They look great in pics and when just washed/polished.

But then a short time later they don't look so great and need another wash.

My thoughts exactly, although got confimed for build week 28 now so a bit awkward to change now

Had a call from the dealer on Tuesday. He says my car should be with them first week of September.

So a '62' for me.

Mind you, he didn't have a build week...

Could be mate, who knows?

Not fussed about the delivery date, but September would be better.

How many keys will you be getting with your Citigo?.UP! owner have been getting 1 main key(with the remote lock/unlock buttons) and 1 basic key.

After protesting enmasse VW are now supplying a second main key free of charge. If you have to pay for another main key it can be quite exspensive.

Something to bear in mind prior to delivery!.

Yeah thats a good point

There are couple of people who have got there car or who will be picking up theres, so we will see soon what people are getting/not getting

All citigos come with 2 key. leckman is correct that you have the 1 normal remote locking key and 1 standard key.

Hope that helps.

I feel an email to the dealer coming on.

We had this situation when my mum bought her last car (Mazda 2), they wanted £125 for a second key. It's a real pain if more than one person regularly drives the car. I used to work nights and it wasn't convenient to be giving her the key back at 4am or me wanting take the car when she was out with it in her handbag.
