shoyld the interior light come on when i turn car off and take key out before i open door ???if so what should i check as the light comes on

Sounds fine to me - light comes on when unlockng from outside and goes off after a while or when key turned in ignition - light comes on when key removed from ignition and goes off after a while or when door locked from outside.
