Skoda dx

Featured Replies

Hi, I have bought the skoda dx sat nav to go in my Fabia vrs, I have installed it along with a new gps receiver, the problem is there is signal and it calculates the route but there's no instructions and doesn't seem to do anything after that point.

Any help would be great.

Does it require maxidot display?

I thought the directions would be displayed there?

Not sure on that, it brings up the highlighted route and direction but thenit doesn't follow the cars gps position even when it's receiving 6 satellites.

I have exactly the same problem on my DX unit. Apparently it struggles to work if removed from its original car. Ive just learnt to put up with it and use my phone's sat-nav!

The screen itself won't give you instructions, that all appears on the maxi-dot display.

The screen (if the unit works correctly) will give you your route on map via aerial view, and turn with your direction. You should get voice directions also.

Have you got a maps disc to go with it?

I Fitted the vw one in mine... Do you have the plug and play loom for it?
