Get paid to advertise on your car?

Featured Replies

Im in need of a little extra cash and ive heard about getting paid to get my car wrapped in advertising. Has anyone done this or thought of doing this? If so what companies did you go with?

Check with your insurance company first.

Untill someone with first hand experience comes along there is plenty on it with a google.

Would you be happy enough to be tracked by a GPS,

and does your car get around enough?

Which may land you in bother with them.

From what I know, cars are tracked and you need to 'get about enough'. You'll also need business insurance which may negate any income benefit.

When I swapped to business insurance it was £10 per year extra. Nothing ventured..........

Ok cheers i will get onto them before i commit to anything, FAQS on the comms site say insurence companies rarely hike up the price as wrapped cars are apparently a detterant to theives?!?!!? Lol

It's not that getting business insurance is expensive, it's the fact that you have advertising on the car.

For my business there was little difference in premium until I mentioned putting a company logo on the car. Premium rocketed and contents of vehicle were also not covered.

May be a little different if the business you are advertising has no connection to what might be in your car.

I'd check insurance very closely and be 100% happy in writing that you are covered.

If you are the main driver and registered keeper and have cover for Commuting

& your work address on the insurance as its parking place during your worktime then you are getting on to be sorted.

Just need a company with no Minimum age restrictions and that accept points on a licence.
