Hello.

A couple of questions if I may:

1. Where is the air box/air filter located in the engine bay and is it easy to get to? Could a novice replace it quickly/easily?

2. Is the air filter on the TFSI vrs engine a flat panel filter or a round filter? Searching some sites for air filters using my reg and reg year/model returns a choice of either a flat panel filter or a round filter.

It's located in the top of the engine cover. Remove engine cover and air filter can be removed by unscrewing the housing underneath iirc. Easy enough to do once you've managed to remove the engine cover. It's a flat panel.

Tried and failed to remove my cover earlier today, worried about pulling too hard as they're well known for cracking.

A top tip apparently is to run the engine for a short while first, which will warm up the rubber grommets it sits on.

Thanks for the advice, and the link to Briskoda. Just managed to change the filter without breaking anything, or too many dramas.
