Broken hose

Featured Replies

Today I lost brake pressure or at least the brakes got very hard, on inspection I found a hose was damaged. I performed a quick bodge repair with tape, which has solved the problem for now. The hose goes from near the air box round the rear of the eng compartment to the servo.

Does anyone know where these can be bought and how much they are?

standard vacuum hose. can be bought near anywhere car related. just get correct diameter and your talking a few pounds

you cannot use normal Silicone pipe on a servo line. it needs to be solid or reinforced pipe. there are also 2 one way valves in that like, you must refit these. They are applied to the OEM pipe so you have to carefully cut the solid piping to remove these. Be carefull not to damage the 1 way valves tho and take note of what way they go round. .

if you follow the pipe from the inlet manifold, it will go onto a clip on the bulkhead. follow this down to the little 90 deg elbow and this is where you can pull out the pipe with the little rubber gromit. you can then remove the little 90 deg elbow from the pipe and use this, and your 2- 1 way valves in your new reinforced pipe.

i Use Reinforced rubber braided line for mine. you will need 1 meter to make it work or a meter and a half to make it look neat as well.

Hope this was a help, the OEM pipe replacment comes as 1 bit and is very expensive, (complete with valves etc),

aftermarket pipe this is your cheapest option.
