Oh just double check would 205 go on a 7j wheel?

Both very average tyres but i'd go for the toyos if you have to.

Uniroyal rainsport 2's miles better and still cheap.

Strainge how Rainsports never seem to win any test's, even in the wet. The Toyo's will be the better all rounder, The Yoko's will be better in the dry with stiffer sidewall's and will produce more noise. .

Yoko dont produce any noise they are a softer tyre then the toyo had both fitted on my car and its also what i do for a liveing yokos are very sticky but wont last the mileage

All tyre's produce noise, the stiffer the sidewall the more noise, Yoko's been high performance have stiff sidewall's, but it's hidden due to the soft rubber compund, do you sell them?

I'd leave the Toyo's alone. Soft sidewall lead to shoulders wearing off very quickly. Also tread blocks collapse mid corner giving a mushy feel. Grip levels are only slightly above average. A budget performance tyre

Would the car sit nice on 205/40/17 and dropped 40mm on koni springs? and the min I have 215/45/17 on cheap nasty tyres not lowered and it looks like ****

Edited by leehowling

If you have 215/45/17 then it'll look crap, they sound too big for the Fabia. 205/40/17 will drop the sidewall height quite a bit (lower percentage and lower width).

Look on either of our 2 posts dude and you'll see. Pics of mine are with the 215tyres and gacs with 205s they're pretty much identical looking so a good gauge.

I put the Yokos on nine on Thursday. 205s and much better feel. Depends how much driving ya do fella. I don't use car for work etc so wears not a worry. I drove it in the wet on Friday and felt fine but then it was a monsoon and I don't hoon it around. Spesh in wet.

For me I prefer the Advan Sport as it produce's less noise and wet weather performance is better as its asymmetrical. you work for tyre manufacture or fitting station?

The parada are also aysemetrical n im the mechanic/mot tester in a fitting centre mate

I run the prada as I only use the car when its dry...

on my daliy I run Rainsports because they are good in the dry and awesome in the wet!

No experience of Yoko's. I run Proxes4's on the Roomster. No complaints.
