Any experience with Event Tyres?

Featured Replies

The winter tyres I want for my Superb seem to be best priced from a company called event tyres. They will even come to me to fit them.

Anyone used them, care to comment?

I haven't used them, though i used etyres before and they were prettty good. Which tyres are you getting? I have Pirellis and they are awesome...had Continental TS810 and 830 as well on other cars...very good as well. Don't go for budget in my opinion as they won't be as good on snow/ice...the differenece in performance on snow/ice will be even more critical than when buying summer tyres. ADAC do fairly good reviews/tests

I'm going for Dunlop winters, after a reccomendation from a friend who does tyre testing for a living. Though I have to say to keep insurance simple I'm not going for narrower tyres which he also said I should do.

Friend of mine test's tyre's and then imforms the R & D of the findings. .

He's not called Ray by chance is he? We aren't that far from each other after all.

No, Mike. .

Event Tyres were brilliant when I had new boots on my wife's Merc. Arrived on time, fitted extremely carefully with no damage to wheels, torqued by hand. Watched him like a hawk and couldn't fault them at all. Will use again for sure.

I agree. I've used Event Tyres twice, and excellent service both times.

I've used etyres a few times in London and Dorset with good service. Worth noting that they operate as franchisees, so service could vary by area, not sure if the same applies to Event tyres. etyres have just emailed me a £10 off 2 tyres code. Not sure where that sits with forum rules so PM me if anyone needs it.

I seem to be in the habit of getting a puncher whist away in Bournemouth, I presum these mobile company's repair tyre's?

Found the answer on etyre's, yes they do, £25.

Last couple of times they've given a voucher for a free future tyre repair when you buy a tyre. The cynic in me thinks that it's a good way to sell a full tyre if the punctured one is deemed "unrepairable" but worth keeping in the car I guess for trips away. My local independent repairs mine for free anyway, so I've never tested it.

Well thanks for the feedback. Also had good feedback from another forum. So it looks like it will be them I think I'll wait a couple of weeks until I actually have the car, though (oh and the money).

I've used them 3 times now. All good, much better than the local quick fit / discount places for both price and service.

Another thumbs up for Event

I used them on the Octavia and they were quick, but careful, and he was a good laugh. Good prices too for the convenience
