Just had the 2nd service on my furby and i am not sure whether this garage is too expensive. It has 11833 miles on the clock and i got charged £213.16. The guy said they did everything to the scheduled which was pollen filter, oil and filter break fluid and labour.

How much do you pay for the same service.

Have not had mine yet but was told after the first service 2nd one includes break fluid and is circa £ 230. Mines a vRS (not sure if that makes a difference).

I will do what I did last year and get 3 garages to give me prices to compare.

Funnily when you are in a 2 year free servicing package they will tell you that the Brake Fluid change is due at 3 years

(at your expense) then 2 yearly.

I paid 230 euros. Hmm! weird!! I think they use same numbers under different national currencies.

My owner's book states first brake fluid change after 3 years and then every 2. I don't get them.

I paid about 100quid but then again my old man does work for a vw dealer so i got i cheap

Ohh and i didnt need an air filter so that was a bit knocked off

If i recall mine was about £150 but no brake fluid change as car was less than a year old. Will probably get it changed at the next service though as that will be more in line with break fluid life. Not certain that three years is really right IMO.

In the owners handbook servis book it says brake fluid change 3 years from new then every 2 years. Before face lift it was every 2 years

2nd service is 20000 miles or 2 years which ever comes first so if you have done 9000 in 2 years they will still do a 2 year service. I am sure skoda do a national fixed price service advertised on tv

I paid £210 for my 2nd service, seems a decent price.

Just had my 2nd year service on the vrs and payed £139 including pollen filter. No brake fluid change as mentioned above on facelift models its 3rd year service. The dealer (Silbury Skoda) told me to add brake fluid change it would be an extra £45 so £184 in total.

Hi just looked on skoda website they do a national pricing but only for cars from 3 years or first mot upto 10 years old. Minor service every 10000 or 12 months £129

Major service 20000 or 2 years £249

So before then any price i think

Yes, the dealers are all franchises and can charge what they like. This is why you must shop around, parts prices remain fairly static but labour rates can vary dramatically.

The TV fixed price advert, I believe relates to cars that are older than three years. Audi have a similar fixed price scheme for older vehicles, its designed to keep you coming to the main dealer for servicing.
