Adios Furby

Featured Replies

Well, thats it guys, I've given it up, my car is now at the garages, and I am car-less, but a lot better off as a result :)

I do feel kinda sad about parting the keys for the Furby, but I gotta admit, not as bad as I thought... but then again, that might be something to do with the 5 double vodka's i've had to help me get over it :D

I did have one last race + scalp for the Furby though on the way there, had an 'encounter' with a Mondeo ST TDCI, I assume it was this as it was brand new and had twin tail pipes (one to each side) but also sported the TDCI badge, well anyway he tried to burn me off several times, but I was slowly catching up on each occaision, but there was never time to get past.... the look on his face was classic :D

Was gonna give the thumbs up, but never really got the chance as I had to turn off.... this comes just a few days after scalping one of those Ford Focus C-Max TDCI 2.0's.... that was a close one as well...

Anyway, I leave with happy memories... I am sure I'll stick around for a while at least, it was good to own a Skoda. At the same time, there was other things that arose with the car, that also made me kind of relieved to hand it over, but I'll talk about that some other time.

In the meantime, I am reliant on public transport, but compared to how I was, I am rich now :D

sad day ey mate? r.i.p your skoda!

If you could talk my eldest son out of buying an EVO next and into leaving home, I would be eternally grateful. Meanwhile all the best and DO STICK AROUND HERE. :)

Dont go man....I have a corsa SRi CDTi and aint left!

Oh I'm sure i'll be hanging around somewhere....

I will be getting a car to replace it, but it will be for less than

Paul sad day indeed :(

Although I agree with you about the worries of owning a new car, scratches etc... Can get a bit tedious...

Looking at your list of cars, give the Saxo VTS/VTR a test drive, there pretty fun cars, can be had cheap these days, and are fairly(ish) reliable... Although in terms of insurance consider the VTR over the VTS...

Sad day but there are some good threads on here about pocket rockets that you can get for not much money. You should get something great to taz around in for a bit :D

Fancying a 106 GTi / Saxo VTS / 205 GTI or something similar next time.

:( sorry to hear that in a way Paul. Probably the wise choice though...... Interesting choice you've shortlisted. I thought I saw you lurking around a certain 205 GTi forum :D

What about a Renault 5 Turbo?

the st tdci only has 1 tailpipe on the left had side. it's actually a downpipe with a false end.

the st220 3.0 v6 has twin tailpipes but that wouldn't have tdci on the back.

Hard to find one in good nick these days...

Good review info on your site - definitely worth keeping that up :)

Well in that case, I dont know what it was... both tailpipes seemed to work too... but he couldnt get away, and he was definitely trying :)

Unless it was actually an ST220... I didnt really get a good look at the badge, it was small and square... but then, if it was an ST220, then i would have expected him to pull away.
