the audi nuts work the same as a rivet.

the bolt is used just thesame as pulling the middle pin in the rivet to squash the outer. no different.

easy fit and dont move at all.

billy

what can i get then to get rid of the toe in and camber on the rear?

i get understeer with mine and also want to stop the wear on the inner edges? also mine isnt lowered that much. mainly want the toe more neutral really and though the camber shims would sort that.

suely why would the sell them saying they sort excesive tyre wear when lowered when lowering makes the tops tilt in anyway. mmmmmm

yeh the camber shims do this to your car // ======= \\

Tops go in, bottom goes out. once you have done it, get the car Hunter 4 wheel alighned. (spelling) The feeling you get when you drive hard into a corner is the back is going to step out but it dont. it digs in and grips like an complete loon! that then coupled with lowering, and rear ARB, Polybushed wishbones, S3 upper and lower braces ect ect ect you will have a go cart! If you do not do the supportin mods, it will become to "over steerish". I fitted shims when waiting for my coilovers ect to arrive and the car was very twitchy. you have been warned! :)

Guess you are talking about the rear??

Maybe needed but most VRS that are lowered already run with that camber..

And don't need them at front, if you fit the TT front end and these castor offset bushes to the TT arms and hubs.

makes the front end very adjustable even on a low car like mine keeps the wishbones at a more horizontal level, than fitting shims to a negative angled VRS wishbone..

what with the R32 FARB , S3 steering rack, TT Roastar bracing , TT subframe bushes, poly bushes all round, KW's and beefy RARB the car is like a go kart now.

Whats the front lower strut brace ? Any pics or numbers ?

Links ? Does eibach do one etc

Lloyd go for the TT/S3 brace as will fit std to VRS and cheaper, can see the S3 brace fiited to mine at front of subframe

Thread inserts you say ????

If you order this lot you will get everything you need and fitting instructions

8N0199403B = the lower strut brace

N90810601 x 2 = the rivets/inserts you need to secure the brace

N90477301 x 2 = washers

N10417601 x 2 = bolts

You need to insert rivets onto VRS subframe(holes already there) and fit bolts(not brace yet) and tighten up and the rivets will expand into the holes and act as a securing the brace to subframe. When tight remove bolts and fit brace and washer and bolts and then just tighten up. Easy job.

Easy ??? As in changing my light bulb easy :D

Cheers mate i'll jot the numbers on my list ........

Lol where do you live mate :D i keep thinking i need to talk nice to some folk lol

I could put some miles on my car at the same time :D

Is that all audi part numbers mate ? Or vw ?

Reading it i think i may think about braving it ........ Or looking at it lol

Lloyd, you would double your miles going to see mark lol.....

dont fall asleep will you its a long way, car might get tired going all that way.

Only fooling mate.

It is easier than changing a bulb, can be done parked on a high curb.

Lol miles away then is he ..... Watch it billy as i beleve you are only a bridge away lol

It does look easy.... I did the Rear eibach :D wooo

And what are these ?

b3001c42.jpg

they are the TT cabrio braces that Mark has made fit the subframe.

they are sposed to go from the subframe to some brackets on the chassis for stiffening the car as the Cabrio has no roof.

I am going to be doing something a little similar to mine and also something to the rear beam I recon will work.

Back on topic tho, what can you get to dial out Rear Toe in? the camber is ok as is as I personally dont get oversteer, even with my setup. only had it in the rain with 2 odd tyres on the rear and OMG it was awesome FUN and so controlable, and that was the first time Ive had oversteer in a FWD car lol, only ever had it in a lorry before while going solo so no weight over drive axel. not something I wanna try again tho as there is no revs to play with and steering is long and needs lots of turns lol

They are Audi P/N but all the same as these are Audi specific (replied to your msg) means you can order these in VW, Audi, Seat, TPS etc

I am in Havant, Hampshire buddy, welcome down here anytime....

Seriously you could fit that in your lunch break it is that easy.

The 2 cross bars are from a Audi TT roadster that uses these to extra brace rear of subframe due to the Roadster having no roof. I just customised the fitting a little to the Roadster.

cheers matey :)

Ooo if i have it correct .... Your lurking 95 miles away :D

Good idea.

We have a south central meet every now and then.

next one is here:

http://www.briskoda....-drive-and-bbq/

Maybe not to folks taste and we have our own meet?.

List your post codes so we can try to work out a central meet maybe to suit your areas, then folks can suggest a venue.

Good ol' Brizzle :D

BS5 hehe miles away from all my handy skilled brisky friends it seems :(

Moar camber! they also good for the air boys that dont get the effect of "natural camber" due to having bags. Adding camber to my bora was 1 of the best mods i done. gave more lows, stopped rubbing, with supporting mods gave better handling, looked good and was not to much to cause tyre probs.

my buddy had 3 sets of these on his Air ridden New beatle. that looked stupid.. to much! each to there own. my skoda loves the camber also, arse end digs in around corners quite nicely now. :)

I'm seriously tempted for some of these for my Fabia, but don't know if I'm low enough to pull it off. Mk1 VRS on Eibach springs.

Sorry for thread hijack lol.
