wouldnt use tcut myself no way , i use meguiars scratch x , they guarantee it wont go through the clear coat even used regularly, have a look at their forums

Ouch !

I believe cats dont like tin foil, or shot guns, take your pick ;)

Search on the site you will get some better alternatives , IIRC there is a lacquer on the black magic paint, so the T-Cut will only take that off.

GS27. It reapplies the lacquer coat, which would fix most light scratches.

I use Swissol cleaner fluid.

To cap it all off the local cats have decided to use my car as a playground and scratched the offside wing with there claws.

Cats and cars dont mix, never let them drive or help in the polishing, sticks to there fur.

Ok serious.......cats hate citrus, so if it is a serious problem, try and get someting with a citrus, smell, or simillar near to the car it does work, many have laughed at me, but it's true.

Have you ever seen a cat eat an orange, point proven!!!!! I rest my case your hounor> :)

Possible not a good idea to cover car in orange juice, wasp problem then

Cats in do hate citrus.

Citronella spray on your tyres shpould do the trick nicely!

what you want is a ring of lion poo all around your car. they won't cross it.

Thanks guys I will find out exactly what t-cut I brought.

The car needs a bloody good clean so weather permitting will clean her tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice.

The scratches are not very deep at all.

If you run you nail over them you can not feel them.

With regard to the cat problem one of the little ba$%&ds got a soaking last night, It was asleep on roof of my utility room and the bathroom window is directly above. A whole litre of water on it at 01:00 in the morning. It looked soaked cheered me up no end

Personally, I would wash carefully, then use the Swissol cleaner wax as Denis said (or the Meguiars equivelant for a cheaper option), followed by a serious waxing session.

Remember.....polish and t-cut are both abrasive and will leave swirl marks that will annoy the hell out of you. There is no short cut to preserving the look of your paint finish.
