5 year old vRS with only 2,500 miles!

Featured Replies

I wouldnt worry about the mileage, its easily verified through VCDS.

My only concern would be the price, should be nearer 10,000

£12k for a 5-year-old with 2500 miles, or £7k for one with 50-60,000 miles? I'd go for the latter every time - at least I'd know it's capable of doing some miles.

Hello Everyone,

I know this is old news now, but we have only recently joined.

To settle the arguments!:

1. It was an ex Skoda UK car and the mileage was correct. It had been inside the training facilty most of its life. So when someone goes up to a training course, it would be used to show people round the vrs model etc etc.

2. The pictures look like they've been taken at a farm becuase they are! We are in the new forest with space for 25 cars on the forecourt so we have an offsite compound/workshop for storing cars, taking pictures and valeting. This just so happens to be an old farm. I think it gives it a nice rustic look...... I know it doesnt look great having a tractor in the background sometimes, but its the only choice we have for now!

Thanks,

Sales@Meadens

So I was right.

An interesting update. Thank you.

I quite like the rustic look!

Was a very nice car too.

Meadens are selling that car. I doubt a Skoda dealer would be selling a clocked car. It would not do their rep any good!

doubt they would know how to check

ECU mileage can be changed too

There was a High mileage VW golf Gti ED30 for sale on the GTi forum last week, turned up on ebay with 20k miles less. so pretty common I reckon

I would always go by condition and history (type of owner) over what the speedo says

ECU mileage can be changed too

True.

Unfortunately....there are now companies that can change ECU recorded mileage. It's no longer a guaranteed way of checking a cars mileage.

Looks a spot on place, do you get cars from SUK like that often? Also how close to asking price did that one go for?

Expect they have been a pretty hard 2.5k miles if used for sales demos and possible press hack. A good car no doubt but 12k for a pre FL of that age regardless of spec mileage and history is far too much money.....IMO if its worth 10k in reality id be surprised. Best of luck moving that on at that money Meadens Skoda!
