Advice please - Scuffed Bumper

Featured Replies

Hi all!

I've returned home from work this evening and discovered a nice 2 inch long scuff by about 3 mm wide (thru to grey primer!) on the drivers side rear bumper, its right on the corner below the rear light on the middle crease. Its accompanied by another small scratch just below the light which is insignifigant in comparison to the big one! My colour is Race Blue and the catch is i get rid of the car in 2 months, otherwise i'd probably bodge it myself!

Its too minor to claim for clearly, but i need to get it back to its former glory - the rest of car is in excellent condition. Do i fix it myself with some good advice from yourselves or go thru a minor repair company i.e. 'Chips away' or something, who, i don't know much about, i'm trying to keep the cost down! I live in Germany but i'm over to the UK in Aug for 3 weeks where i would be happier to get it fixed.

P.S. The wife drives the car 90% of the time and was 'suprised' when i showed her it this evening, mmmmm.....

Regards

Richie

An on site mobile sprayer like Chips away would do the job for around £125

I would recommend chipsaway. Always been pleased with their work.

Must be the weather over here at the moment - my wife has just managed to find the only concrete post in the middle of a field in her Golf; apparently the post was hidden by long grass!

There are several companies offering a similar service to chips away in Germany too. I've used several different companies whilst over here previously for wheel scuffs or paintless dent removal. I will have an ask around the lads at work tomorrow to see if they would recommend anyone.
