Skoda now do fixed price servicing

Featured Replies

That is only for cars which are 3 to 10 years old, on fixed service intervals, and is only available at participating dealers. However you may find as I did that dealers are willing to quote similar prices for younger cars.

I got a 2 year service deal for years 3+4 - £299 incl 2 free MOT's

I got the above for £249.

Meh car is 5yr old now I'll stick with my indy I think. He does a better job than the franchised dealers anyway.

The Skoda price for the 2-year service is much higher than I paid my local dealer two months ago. As far as I can see all this does is encourage all dealers to charge more and negotiate less.

Yeah, each to their own. Happy with the dealer I'm going to for that service and as it's a 4th & 5th service so there's gonna be some extra stuff. Not having to worry about how it gets on in the MOT for nothing extra is a bonus.

It's a shame the £299 for 2x services and £100 worth of Skoda parts/accessories vouchers offer isn't coming back.

A minor and a major service for £100 each is as good as you get from an indy, let alone a franchised dealer.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I got a £50 voucher with my £249 spend.

Which dealer was this from blackspaven?

Was it a national Skoda UK plan on was it specific to your dealer?

Same here. Had to call into local main dealer for a fuel pipe not so long ago . Parts man looked and said it was special part ( no checking of parts list, just straight off) .He quoted approx £150 plus about 2 hours labour. Was certain the pipe was low pressure as it was not metal, just ordinary fuel pipe. Special pipe said local motor factors who suggested a VAG trade spares place . Up came the drawing, and it was "fuel pipe -cut to length" .

So much for an expensive main sealer estimate .

Parkview in Reading. Fairly new, opened up about a year after I got my car from new. Very friendly guys, jus offered it to me after the first two year plan (£299 & £100 in vouchers) had been used up in February/March.

Definitely the national deal as I had to ask them if I could use the MOT bit at Garland in Aldershot as I might struggle to get to Reading after my knee operation, and they said no problem, the plan was attached to the car, not any specific dealer. Also got a confirmation letter from SUK with the £50 voucher on the bottom.

Another wierd thing was it's valid until end of feb 2013: I called a different dealer about summat specific and they said that the vouchers they all had seen had onyl been valid until the end of June or July, sometime this summer.

Win.win! :)

Thanks blackspaven, I wonder if they'll sign me up over the phone knowing they won't actually see my car for any of the servicing?

My local dealer won't do them because they reckon Skoda Finance are a pain to deal with and it takes ages for them to be reimbursed!

I got the above for £249.

Thats a good deal...............Mine was £299 with 2 x MOT's or £50 voucher

I got 2 services and 2 protected Mot's for £149.99

Services as to the book, what ever it needs on that service it gets.

Well, I've done a fair bit of ringing around lots of different Skoda dealers across the country (including the two mentioned on here as offering particularly good service plan deals) and you guys did pretty well, but alas no more - the price has just gone up as of today.

The £299 deal as we know it (in its various guises, vouchers, MOT's, MOT Protection etc.) is now £349.

For this you get:

1x Minor Service (£129*)

1x Inspection Service (£249*)

1x Brake Fluid Change (£45*)

1x MOT (£39*)

£349 (£462*)

*Individual prices as per Skoda UK's National Pricing.

So still a saving of £113. There is no official mention of the £50 voucher blackspaven recieved but if it is infact sent with each deal the saving is increased to £163.

Still, for me at least it's not as attractive as the £299 + £100's worth of vouchers I got nearly two years ago, that really was a good deal.

Independant servicing for me from now on...

I wouldn't be going for it if it hadn't have had the MOT's and voucher. Independant is the way to go in general, but sometimes the dealer can surprise you. It's always handy to have that 'i'm a reliable, constant customer!' rant in one's back pocket just in case you need something from SUK too. ;)
