Featured Replies

to change the downpipe on a mk1 fabia vrs?

car caem decatted and im putting a new downpipe in with the cat still on

cheers

Fairly easy altho abit of a faf getting one of the downpipe bolts off I found it easier to do one bolt from the top and the other two from under the car.

No real dramas tho mate just make sure you warm the turbo up for the stud removal :)

done mine on the weekend and like said the one is best done from the top although i done both from the top as i thought i was doing the one that was the harder of the two haha. I removed the large air filter pipe coming from the air box to give access. Also mine come of pretty easy when cold as i couldn't warm mine up as its pooped.

So a basic socket set with an extension bar will do? Im guessing the car needs to be quite high?

I used the ring end of a spanner to crack them and a ratchet with small extension for ease after. pretty sure they are 13mm.

mine was up on axle stands and slid underneath was enough room for me.
