Guy,

If you do a search you will find this has been covered many times before.

I always use DP Liquid Soda Crystals, it's in a spray from Tesco's at

I use just about any old car upholstery shampoo from Halfrauds. Dunno how it would work on fizzy pop though :(

Any recommendations on how best to get the drivers door insert back to "as new", you know, just where you rest your arm behind the electric window switches and the bit underneath ? Me usual shampoo isn't doing the biz.

As above use DP Liquid Soda Crystals..........

I better try that too then, like i div i just picked up Fish and chips and the grease has seeped through onto the passenger seat :(

Try some Tuff-Stuff, A/G Interior Shampoo, or Brisk from AutoSmart.

I tried DP Soda Crystals today' date=' unfortunately my local Tesco only had the dry type which came to a very reasonable 51p. You just mix it with hot water to dissolve it.

Removed stains but left white residue everwhere when it dried. Pain in the a**e to get off the leather.

Did you need to go over the treated areas with clean water with the Liquid Soda Crystal type?[/quote']

Buy the spray..Use it and go over lightly with a damp cloth with clean fresh water, then just leave to dry. I have never had a problem, even when it went onto the leather sections.

Problem with the powder version that you used, is getting the right mixture strength, thats why I always tell people to get the spray version.

i used the dry version and mixed 1 tablespoon to 500mls of hot water and put it in a spray bottle, it tooke the marks on my seat out and left no water stain, worked much better than the other cleaners i used
