What's this bracket?

Featured Replies

So I'm of to France next week and I've got all the necessary gear (high-viz vests, spare bulb kit, warning triangle, etc.) and i thought I'd practice fitting new bulbs just in case.

Seems straightforward enough after reading Bluefox's excellent guide here:

Thanks Bluefox

When I was doing the nearside bulb I pulled off the brake fluid cover and wondered what the big bracket/holder was next to it:

It looks like it should be holding something but could just be a holding bracket for all the bits around it? Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Don't forget the breathalyser kit as well. http://www.alcoproof...egislation.html

Breathalyser kit now not necessary until November due to over demand so French government gave foreign drivers a grace period

The bracket that holds the wires/plugs rotates clckwise to give more hand / knuckle room when change the bulbs by the way.

No idea about what goes in the bracket though, our towo superbs have nothing there either. Good space for storing spare bulbs?

The bracket is for an electrical auxiliary brake booster vac pump which is needed with auto transmission power units to fulfill braking regulations in some markets. I've never seen one.
