Looking to replace the Bolero unit in my VRS limited edition with a Columbus unit.

Not entirely sure which surround I require, current surround is silver, with car being a Limited Edition it has the updated Climate Controls which I think somehow complicates things, I've attached image of my current configuration.

Can anybody advise on part number and a cheap supplier?

I just upgraded my climate unit and already had columbus so needing this trim, I had your exact problem and did a lot of research.

For me in black it cost £65.14 from dealer - cheapest I could find once I factored in postage for web suppliers. I think the silver is more common and so a bit cheaper (this one is £50 odd on skodaparts.com see http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-trim-for-navigation-system-2008-2013-50216).

The part number is 1Z0 858 069 plus a sub code which dictates the shape and colour (for example Piano Black for your combination of units was CQN77 and looks good) but beware to describe it carefully as there are loads of variations. It is in the 11 series as opposed to 9 and 10 if you start getting into difficulties with the dealer (as I did) - see http://www.vwwaterco...t-no-68748.html for the differences in trim type.
