slide out cup holder

Featured Replies

just brought one, fitted, bit stiff so wriggled it jiggled it, sumit didnt sound good, wouldnt open or close, so took it apar, spring flies out.

think i've got it together now but it doesnt open all the way, its stops just befor the things open wide.

and if i put it in the car it wont open hardly at all.

could/would anyone take theres apart and take pics so i know how it goes together?

any hints tips to get it to move freely?

cant take it back either, was off ebay lol

Sounds like that when you put it into the car something is twisting the casing which is hindering the movement of the holder.

i rekon so too, but there is nothing visable, just as tight fit, but im more worried about getin ti workin 100% again, like i said it pops open but the spring doesnt force the two bits upwards to hold a cup........anyone got any ideas?

I used some bees wax (not literally, i didnt milk a bee, the stuff you buy from a shop :D), around the edges of the cupholder where it's stiff...
