SOLD

I have seen a MK2 diesel estate that I would like to buy so I have for sale:

MK1 Skoda Octavia Hatch 1.9 TDI (PD130) - Laurent and Klement

  • Year 2004 – 04 Plate
  • Mileage: 116,500
  • MOT: 22nd September 2012
  • TAX: 30th September 2012
  • Fully stamped service history record and receipts
  • 2 key remotes
  • V5 Form present
  • PD 130 BHP – 6 Speed Manual

Laurin and Klement model, which is the top of the range luxury model with pretty much all the options fitted. It's the highly desirable 130 BHP 6 speed manual version of the 1.9 TDI, meaning excellent performance and economy. Essentially same engine as the Golf GT TDI / FabiaVRS, but with the bonus of a massive boot and practicality. To top this off it's in metallic grey with full black heated leather, the best colour combination!

Specification - here's a summary of the huge spec:

  • 1.9 PD TDI - 130BHP / 6 speed gearbox - 55+MPG Easily achievable.
  • Heated Black Leather Seats / Interior
  • Xenon Headlights
  • Cruise Control
  • Climate Control – serviced and regased
  • Electric Tilt/Slide Sunroof
  • Electric Windows / Heated Electric Mirrors
  • Headlight washers
  • Trip Computer & Information Display Screen
  • Sony Headunit – MP3, USB etc.
  • 16" anthracite alloy wheels
  • ASR Traction Control
  • Driver / Passenger / Side Airbags
  • Puddle Lights
  • + all the usual - PAS, ABS, Alarm/Immob, 3/4 split seats, etc.
  • +Electric Tow bar also fitted (not used by me and last owner)

Condition / History.

Condition wise the car is generally in very good condition. The leather interior is excellent with no tears and is regularly cleaned. There are stone chips on the bonnet commensurate with age and a crack in the plastic on the top of the rear bumper from the last owner hitting it with a bike pedal (see picture), aside from this there are a couple of small dints and scratches to the paint but nothing major and nothing you wouldn’t expect from a car of this age. There is no rust. I haven’t recently checked the alloys but I highly doubt they are still perfect and will have some small scuff marks. If there was anything major I would have noticed when cleaning the car.

The stamped service book is Skoda Dealer history up until 54000, with a mixture of main dealer and independent specialist there after (Bickertons, Awesome GTI & Shark Performance). In addition to the book I have receipts for most of the work done to the car.

Before I bought the car:

It last had a full 20k inspection Service and Brake fluid change at 101000 in November 2010, this also included a new temp sensor, front suspension wishbone bushes replaced with uprated Powerflex replacements as these were worn, this included a full geo wheel alignment setup (costing £317!). Full brake discs and pads on the front and rear. Front passenger side window mechanism replaced at Skoda as the cable had snapped (cost £190) - Skoda also conducted a full inspection of suspension/brakes/etc. The cambelt was last done at approximately 75k (receipt and service book will show actual date).

In my ownership:

Full service and health check by Bickertons in Sheffield as soon as I could after I bought it (10th June approx. 110,000).

I noticed a very slight coolant loss over the period of a 2-3 months so in March 2012 so a replacement radiator was fitted by Shark Performance.

Recently (July 2012) replacement turbo and service was completed by Shark Performance and a full health check. Anything that was needed was done. The car has also recently had 2 new rear tyres (front tyres still loads of life in them).

All in all an excellent car, quick performance when needed and I've seen 59MPG on a steady 70-75MPH run with cruise control. Currently on 116,404K, but will increase due to daily usage.

Any questions then fire away! Car is priced realistically for this very rare spec'd car!

Also available is a full set of seat alloys (with centre caps) with winter tyres that I bought last winter so have done less than 1,000 miles. Tyres are still in virtually brand new condition. Alloys are 2nd hand and are not perfect but they have no problems at all, straight and balanced exactly as they should be. They do have curbing and again are not perfect but they are winter tyres so IMO don’t need to be.

I noticed your post yesterday. Hope you are OK today and not too stiff?

No problem, I will be in contact if it doesnt sell. Just waiting for a full MOT before it gets picked up by the new owner so if it falls through it will have 12 months MOT as well.
