It is here. collected my VRS today - question

Featured Replies

Should I be able to access the menu using the buttons on the wiper stalk. All they seem to do is scroll round the 2 memory entries for MPG etc. Can't seem to get into the DIS section where you can change the settings ?

This is on a September 2011 FL VRS.

Loving it already, treated it to a tank of V-Power Unleaded

Thanks,

Paul

They dont all have a DIS (Maxidot) display, it was an optional extra.

to access, press and hold the upper part of the rocker on the wiper stalk for a few seconds providing you have the Maxidot computer that is.

Tried that is there anyway of telling if you have the Maxidot, I have VCDS capability.

Wondering it is just isn't enabled ?

Already switched off the selective un-locking, enable the teardrop rear wipe function and disable the comfort function with the keylock (just in case it has the same flaw as my old Mark IV Golf had.

Open the car door door.

If you have maxidot - it shows a full pic of the car showing which door is open, if you don't, you'll just get a little bulb on the dash saying a door is open.

Thanks folks as I can see a red small symbol in the dash i guess not - unless it is just a cluster coding.

Cheers Mike that is a shame. Can't justify changing the cluster just to have the comfort menu - luckily I have VCDS so can change most stuff that way if I need to.

Already disabled the selective unlocking, disabled the comfort settings by key switch, enabled the anti-hijack locking and teardrop wiping.

Question - will it result in any lost functionality when I retrofit the Columbus sat nav and a bluetooth module ?

Thanks.

Thanks Mike.

One more question - I take it that IF I decide that I require it, we are just talking about a new cluster and re-program at a dealer ?
