What can you find out from a registration?

Featured Replies

not without a copy of the options sticker, from the service book or in the spare wheel well.

looking at the pictures it does not seem to have any extras at all.

Thats probably why its cheap!

Looking to buy an octy.

Not sure whether to go for the PD engine or CR.

I have seen this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-Skoda-Octavia-2-0-TDI-PD-170-VRS-5DR-/190701332341?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2c66af6775#ht_1098wt_1294

It seems cheap compared to the others and seeing that some have bells and whistles I'm thinking is there any where i can find out what the car came built with from the factory?

Cheers

For 500 quid more, you could have this......

Maxidot and Columbus, what more do you want....

TPS are able to print out an options list based on the registration number - I would assume dealers would have a similar ability (although, they may not do it for you if it's not your car).

That is cheap

Yep !

If it was white, I would trade my 57 plate 92k black vrs !

I don't really want Another black vrs...

That is a steal at that price, regardless of the high miles

Someone's going to get a Bargin !

Hes also got a 2009 superb 2 Elegance which is at the same money. Just over 100K but thats cheap too

Amazingly I still have a 2007 sales brochure that lists the specs for the whole Octavia range for that year. I can supply details if required.

Mac

With 40 thousand more miles on!

It's so cheap because its done 40k more....

The cheapest 09 vrs with around 50k mileage , is going on autotrader for £10990 and that is a pre-facelift model ! So you would be, looking at around 11k for a fl model...

So its 2.5k cheaper because of the miles....

Given the choice between a pre fl vrs with the ' correct ' mileage or fl model with high miles and 2 years younger, and only 500 more, I would pay the 500 quid everyday of the week just to have a fl !

It's the old chestnut.......age or mileage !

I agree....

Stick a private plate on it & it looks like a brand new Vrs. Current shape etc

I would only consider buying a high mileage car if I intended to do low mileage in it. A high mileage car bought to do a high mileage will end up with a galactic mileage and be worth b*gger all when you want to sell it.

Keep searching . . . . . it's only a matter of time before you find what you are looking for. Don't forget that the registration changes at the end of next month and there may be a few more trade-ins to chose from then!

You need the VIN...

http://www.vin-decoder.net/code_vag-options

No xenon's, no nav, no parking sensors, no full leather.

The only other options are cruise control, auto lights, auto wipers, maxidot and curtain airbags.

I wouldn't say it was cheap either, I'd say it was about right.
