Featured Replies

REVIO stage 2 has been released for ages on the 1.4TSI. Imy yet to have heard about any issues with ECUs for any tuner tbh

When i spoke to the guy about it on the phone he said that it had only been realsed on certain ecus....but iv got an early one that dosnt have a cage around it

I'm stage 2 Revo so will get you a pick later

REVOs for losers anyway...... ;) :p)

I don't think that's true? I got my tuners to find out from revo about stage 2 as its just saving up time for me. Revo did not mention anything about which ecu I have.

Only revo have the ablities to remap these ecus up here:(

The guy said i could get a milltek down pipe for 4oo an odd quid.......think il just be getting a custom jobbie for alot cheaper :) or would it be better just gettin my cat burnt out?

what about jetex? they do a down pipe too.

Still about 300 quid and i refuse to pay that for a bit of bent stainless steel

I am abit of a loser at the moment. Mycars in the garage undergoing compression tests to try solve a Mis fire issue.

Are uprated sparkers a must for a remap?

I would say so personally.

True! I dont suppose you could get one custom made? but i guess it would cost more than the jetex or miltek

Since my first service I've had the misfire light show up a few times. Mostly on overtaking from 40+ on B roads etc. Not had it pop up on the track which I find strange, where the car is abused it works fine when it gets granny'd it moans.

Moral of the story, drive it like petrols 80p a litre.

Might look at a custom one, got a mates mate that owns a motorsport garage so hopefully hel knock one up for a bit cheaper :)

I drive it like that anyway so theres no worries there :D

Infact is it really worth shelling out another few hundred quid to go to stage 2 or stage 1(with bmc intake)

I have found out that my ecu has not yet been done by APR even though they have done loads of 1.4 TSIs, which is delaying the remap while Evan liaises with APR HQ to get it sorted. They had another 1.4 TSI in today as well and it went fine!

Not good bull :-/ think it's the map?

I don't know mate. Will be doing a fair amount of logs when its running to find out.

The spark plugs are NGK iridium IX - BKR7EIX - 2667. £36 from Euro car parts.

I doubt it is the map Pitbull as there are plenty of people like myself who haven't had any issues with it. You could get the guys to have a look at the valves. I've read a few posts now where coking of the valves is stopping them seating correctly, causing misfires.

didnt have much of a chance to have a blast on the way home due to heavy traffic, but from what fun i had it was epic :D pulled like a train even when putting the foot down in 7th:D

It amazing how much pull u get in the higher gears with a map.

You have a rolling road done?
