Oh dear. Well sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Mine was pretty much worse case scenario. It will depend what has broken in yours as to what needs doing.

I think the bearings had gone in mine and it basically ate itself!

Complete renewall of the gears was needed.

What engine/gearbox you got?

Lol. Yeh always best to blame someone else.

The most common problems after doing much digging around seem to be the selector forks coming loose due to a rivet breaking and bearings failing in these type of boxes.

Just hope its the former as it's the cheapest and can be repaired by replacing the rivet with a bolt. Still needs the box off though!

And just hope that it's not the really long geared version like mine as they are hard to get hold of and so are parts for them as they had a pretty short production run before reducing the gearing down for emissions purposes.
