Iv won a second hand decat an down pipe on eBay for my vrs Octavia . Looking for a few more bhp an mabye a bit of burble from my exhaust . I intend putting this decat on the standard exhaust system ... Just wondering what ye think it will sound like ? I don't want something chav or stupidly loud . Just a nice rumble .

Get a diesel straight though centre section to your standard back box, that should give u some extra noise. Cost about £10. Same thing as a "race tube" off eBay.

I already have the centre section muffler deleted with a piece of stainless pipe .. Its not much of a difference to be honest and Im starting to think the decat an down pipe might b a bit too loud now on the standard system :(

Doubt it, the back box is huge!!

Get a full turbo back 3" system of eBay for £230 includind taxes from USA. It's for a mk4 golf so will need tail pipe exit adjusting but its what I'm gonna try next pay day. ????

Might be possible to weld in a pipe before the back box to extend it

I'm gonna have to take mine to power flow in Newcastle to sort the pipe out when I do it. :(

ive got a full manifold back s/s 2.5inch with no boxes at all de-cated sounds awsome pops, bangs and throws flames

you mite need a remap as they become smokey without the cat

I already have the car remapped . I'm thinking of 2.5 inch from the decat back to the standard back box .. I think the down pipe size increase is the important part in this though

bigger down pipe with a decat is more boost the rest of the system would be jus better sound and make the car rev much quicker

if you increase your downpipe size it would be better to do the rest as well as your just moving the bottle neck along,downpipe's important but dont forget the rest of the system

Don't worry buddy the noise is not much difference to a cat and downpipe, these turbo cars are never going to be loud unless you completly remove back box.

If anyone interested i have a new Full stainless cat back system for sale have twin round exit with slight upswept dtm style.

Hit me with a price on that bowders ? And take it easy on me lol
