Lowering my VRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I was thinking about lowering my VRS a bit, just for looks sake really. I was out today in my sisters 206 it has been lowered and was far to rough and bumpy and noisy for me. Just loking for thecar to sit a bit lower without compramising the ride quality. Any ideas?

I was in exactly the same boat as you mate. Wanted the look without the harsh ride. Went for koni str.t's lowered 30mm and its perfect. Looks great and the ride is no worse. Really pleased with the result

Thanks Mike will check it oiut, where did you get yours from and how much were they?

What were they in your sisters car, cheap coilovers?

You get what you pay for, I had a cheap kit on a previous car and it was a nightmare.

I have AP coilovers on the Fabia and love them.

Harder ride but that's inevitable.

I went for the KW KW25082018 'Lowering Springs'

They lower by just 20mm (30mm, like Eibach's, H&R etc is a little too much, especially on OE dampers. You'll kill your dampers in a jiffy and the ride is crashy and bouncy).

The KW's are firm, but comfortable and are working very well on a Bilstein B8 damper :)

Do you have a budget in mind?

A good quality springs and shocks kit will give you the best combination of comfort and handling.

I paid just shy off 400 quid I think. Got them from awesome

+1 for AP Coilovers, speed bumps and potholes arent great but on good roads cant complain at all!

Where are your good roads? lol

Just testing the water at the moment Damian, like I said I dont want to stiffin up the ride would just like to not be showing so much wheel arch, It's just a looks thing, I am not a boy racer so don't hammer it around corners or anything, just think it would look a lot better sitting a tad lower.

Got lowering springs and shocks im thinking of getting rid off 40mm drop :)
