Skoda Superb 1 Stuff?

Featured Replies

Hey, I'm currently trying to shift my car so I can buy a Skoda Superb Elegance 1.9 TDI.

My budget will be about £3000.

I'm also trying to find a list of the spec on this model. Any ideas what it came with? i.e. Nav, leather etc....

Thanks guys!

Sun/Solar roof

Leather

Electric Everything

Sat Nav sometimes

17 inch alloys

Tints

CC

Xenon lights

Warning Triangle :giggle:

Coolio. Do they have auto lights and wipers?

no

I've got rain sensing wipers :bandit:

And a brolly in the NSR door card!

Gaz

I had rain sensing wipers on my 2003 comfort

Elegance will have auto wipers, but auto lights were not an option or standard fit on ANY MK1 Superbs.

Welcome to the fold - Hope you enjoy the car.

Now make sure you read the sticky thread about abou****er leaks and the pollen filter...

edit: it took me ages to figure out why the auto censor jobbie had added asterisks to my text above...

Will do! Thanks.

My cousin is doing a full service today and a cambelt and water pump change.

So I'll check the pollen filter then.

He's a VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat specialist so servicing on this car is going to be cheap :)

Right I'm at my cousins garage.

Air con is just being re gasses as it wasn't cold.

I need a new air dryer apparently though.

The cambelt and full service is being done too.

My cousin does remaps as well so I'm having a remap with an OBD power gate that I can switch between an economy map, standard, or power!

Now that sounds interesting. What remap is it and how much (to non-cousins) ? Please make sure you let us know what it's like (but as you've only just got the car, it may be difficult to make an objective comparison)

It's a guy he knows who does the remaps. He seems to know so many cars in and out.

I'm not sure on the price to Non Cousin's, I'll ask lol.

There is a notable difference though, performance is well.... quick! So much power, 40-70 takes no time!

Standard is well... standard obviously.

And the economy, feels more torquey than the standard but not quicker. It pulls much lower down, allowing you to get into higher gears earlier, which obviously results in better economy.

I used it today and got 51 MPG on a route I got 39 yesterday with the power remap. However I was making use of the power

I'll have to do better tests on longer runs.

Please let us know when you do -

And what is the switch like - in the cabin or underbonnet? Photo would be good...
