My Lovely New BlueFlame Exhaust..!

Featured Replies

finally got my exhaust fitted by BlueFlame themselves in skelmersdale. Only took 5 1/2 hours to fit! That said, there was an unforseen problem with the rear section of exhaust not having enough clearance from the rear axle. It had to be re-worked to give more clearance after i mentioned i was lowering the car an inch. That reduced the overall clearance from 10mm to 5 mm under normal suspension compression. Seems fine now. Lovely noise when you boot it! :D

I also got

Excellent, good to hear

I'll be going down a custom exhaust route very soon :)

Good aren't they..

They`re ace. It`s really quiet when you just want to cruise or are tootling around but as soon as you get over 3000rpm it growls beautifully :D Will it get louder as it gets clogged up with soot inside?

Has it increased performance noticably? and is your car remapped or standard?

Yes, quiet for when your'e not in the mood and just cruising along and takes on the more sporty/meaty tone when pressing on..

Also get a great sounding "whoosh" when flooring it too. :D

My car is standard. Only had it for 4 months so still not quite used to its performance. Most noticable thing was how much quicker the turbo spins up and it seems to pull harder in every gear. Thought i`d see what the top end was like on the way home from lancashire this evening. Backed off at 130mph (on the clock) with the car still accelerating harder than i expected.

wow, you mean your private track right ;)

Having had mine fitted at Skemersdale I had the joy of coming back along the new M6 toll section.....Superb surface and did it go when I wound it up...........................Sorry, is the toll road not a private section of road.................LOL, how silly of me.

Brilliant exhaust system, especially when coupled with the sports cat and downpipe.

Mine`s the full system inc cat. piccies will follow when the sun goes in. my camera dont like the glare.. :(

It sounds (no pun intended) as if the blueflame is quieter than a milltek when just bumbling along.

I find my new car noticeably louder than the previous one, most of the noise from the engine / exhaust.

Still sounds darn nice (for a derv) when press that loud pedal :D :D :D
