Seems to me like a brilliant solution without spending hundreds on a retrofit, assuming of course the weight limits are respected.

Have you got the glass roof? if yes I'd check with Skoda.

Grafitti, one of my sons is into surfing (big time): he has used a similar system on both his Audi and girl friends VW Beetle. He is truly well pleased with it's portability and has never had a problem with it. For a week or so I used it on my Roomy 2 (07 plate) again with no problems. Follow the mfg instructions and just be satisfied that you are safe and secure and away you go.

No as mine is a standard v2 it has a solid roof so no worries about stressing it. Got me a saris bones for the bikes on back, and with a rack like this in addition I'll have all i need at £100 vs the £350+ for fitting rails plus the cost of bars.
