Columbus navigation + PDC dont work together

Featured Replies

Hi

Can I get this on the screen ?

furthermore I don't think its work as planned. When I put it in reverse the PDC is 1 constant bib and it stops when I put it in D and after 20m

the sounds stops..

Do anubody have an idea why ?

Octavia 1.9 TDI Combi DSG from 2008 :hi:

PDC is not compatible with Columbus. You will have to convert it to OPS which will require a new control module, wiring and other stuff:

Naviparts.dk/Cartrends in Rødovre fixed mine... ;-)

As above, without changing the controllers, you will not get displays of either park control or climate setings on the Columbus screen.

In respect of the climate display, changing from the pre FL to the FL climatronic unit will give settings on the Columbus head unit with only a minor wiring mod. I'm presuming therefore the switch includes the relevant controller?

Hi all.

Thank you for the answers.

1. to Newbie - what did you pay at Cartrends.dk ?

2. How can I see the firmware installed on RNS510 - I have tried to hold Setup button for 30 sec, but nothing happens.

I what do see if Phone is installed and see if I can get it to work

As far as I remember the price is 2800DKR for the module and installation. If you have not already upgraded your CAN gateway that will be an extra 1000DKR.

Give them a call. They are really helpfull!

If you have one loud beep when you select reverse you have a fault with the reversing sensors. Get it scanned to see what the fault code is.

Hi Banditz, welcome to Briskoda. You don't say much about the beep when you select reverse. If you get one beep and then nothing then there is a fault in the system. If however you get one continuous beep then one of the sensors either has some dirt blocking it or it is faulty. You can tell if they are working by turning the ignition on, selecting reverse and going to the back of the car. Put your ear close to a sensor and you will hear it clicking, check all 4 and if one isn't clicking, you have found your problem sensor.
