As above and also would this be doing the same job if not better than the PD160 due to being bigger ?

Yep will do the same job pretty much.

I really do need to tidy it up tho haha, duck tapped at the back as u can see lol

Have you opened up the trumpet diameter on the front part where the trunking connects to the front panel - or are you using the original - if not I don't think you will find much improvement.

DB.

Just looks like a bit of a bodge :p

The benefit of the PD160 intake is that it looks stock to the untrained eye.

It is a bodge job lol but saved me £60+ lol

Im very anal when it comes to these things and I couldnt have it lol, i think it looks nasty and theres a gap at the front which looks like the pipe is going to flap about.

But if youre happy thats all that matters

Oh and you need to cut out the flap at the front on the opening

Ive done that and i know what you mean, im tempted to redo it so it looks better or go to a breakers and the pd160 cheap if possible lol

Mine is exactly the same but with a sturdier pipe!! I even had the pd160 on before I did this - still like its a bit better

Flap? Can that be removed from a standard 130 to increase flow?

I wished I bought a PD160 intake 5 years ago when they were only £35 new.

I agree with Craig, piece of tubing looks botched/modified, the proper PD160 at first glance looks standard.

I think the idea of the flap on the trumpet is to try and prevent water from entering the inlet. I'm sure by removing it you may create a little more airflow. I've also see people smoothing out the insides of the filter box to create a smoother airflow.

I suspect fowl play!
