On my 13 mile journey to work today...

That's interesting about the different oils, George. Mine will be using whatever the Skoda dealer put in at the last service (despite covering 2000 miles, it still has a fair bit more to go before the inevitable top up). My oil temp sits in the high 90s at 70mph.

Will have to try a few tanks of tesco momentum fuel too. I have pretty much run my car exclusively on Vpower so far..

  • george. not one of my pupils has ever wheelspun out of a junction (just to reiterate, not one. ever.) , and I suffer no "delay" as talked about by others. you simply teach them correctly, and they dr

  • I had 42mpg going to Ammanford this morning which for me is a record on that drive. It's hard trying to get good mpg when the car is always egging you on to go quick

Like I said just pulling your leg matey, if ur getting 50-60mpg between fill ups then good on you. :-)

little mike... I wonder about oil too... especially seeing as loads of people suffer from oil consumption.... since my 10 k service my garage have used syntium 5000xs.... which is a BMW approved oil to service their diesels.... obviously it meets the requirements for the 1.4tsi... but I have put a drop in for 14k now...... (34,000 miles)

56.9mpg !! Nice :) anyone else better that in a vRS ? Please post your best ;)

I am sure lol will be along soon with his BS non factual claims.......speaking of which, he has gone very quiet since owning his VRS which according to him will save him fuel over his 1.8tsi and give him over 600miles to a tank!
