The mute button on my MFSW doesn't work properly and its something I want to rectify as it would be very useful when I'm reversing (my radio volume can't be reduced on reversing as my Head Unit does not have that option).

It used to do nothing, but since I fitted a mic as part of a bluetooth installation it seems to act as a shortcut to voice control. So I reckon its a VCDS job to correct a coding problem. I'm pretty sure from reading other forums that it is the one of the digits of the steering wheel controller short code, but does anyone know what it should be changed to for the mute button to work please, as I can get access to VCDS tomorrow?

I hadn't realised there was a section on here for VCDS stuff, so mods may wish to move?

I'm hoping its the fourth digit of the coding in my case, which I think should be 2, and I suspect is set to 3 for some reason. Will find out tomorrow.
