To bring this up, I also sourced a LED strip which works excellent but only dims when the boot is shut. Anyone had experiences which resistor size to try out? 

 

Or the current draw is so low that you can leave it as it is (would really like that)?

 

P.S. my boot light also worked intermittently, disassembled it, the switch is dead and will try to change it out, it looks pretty standard.

The Philips LED extreme ultininon 501 w5w bulbs remain dimly lit when boot lid closed. This is the vrs hatch 1xboot light. The bulb works well in the ceiling light either side of the festoon bulb above gear stick. No dimly lit bulb, just either on or off.

 

Anyone bought a bright LED boot light bulb that work like halogen bulb and is brighter? Thanks
