It's been just over a month since I ordered, and I'm getting thoroughly impatient. Hurrumphh !!

I don't want to pester the poor sod at Motorline in Dartford, but has anybody got a date yet for their car? Is it looking like late September is a realistic time to expect delivery?

I still have to wait 3 weeks to pick mine up, the dealer has it, i havent seen it, (62 plate and insurence) could of had it last week = 9ish weeks from ordering, as it is 12 weeks from ordering

I made my first phone call to the dealer today after placing my order, 6 weeks ago.

So far no return call as the salesman was busy so couldn't speak to me.

So yes I'm waiting for a reply as to how far we have got with the order, I still reckon it will be mid Sept.

Lucky you, I ordered June 19th and haven't heard anything yet. I'll have to give my dealer a call. Expected delivery has been set to October 4th...

I was told to expect end of Sept as build date will be end of August. It takes 21 days or so after that before the dealer gets it.

So about right when I ordered they quoted mid to late Sept delivery.

Black, tinted glass, citysafe and speaker pack.

So I lost the patience game and rang the dealer today. No build date received yet, but he reckons end of September. My guess is more like mid October.

So if you have the patience of Mother Teresa, amen to you brothers (and sisters), because I share your pain ...

I ordered through Preston Motors who sponsor this forum and they've been very good at keeping me informed.

It's being built last week of August and will be mine mid-September.

When the build date came forward I was informed. No chasing.

Some of you need a better dealer.

Well I spoke to Skoda

Seems it may not get August allocation as vag policy is to limit the number of factory orders per dealer (understand for stock and demos but customer orders)

I have to call back after the 27th to see if they have a build date

But was told to bear in mind that I am near the back of a very long list of LHD and rhd skodas and I should have ordered the car sooner if I was expecting 8-12 weeks delivery

No call yet from the dealers to bring me up to speed as where things are at

So 4weeks nearly in no closer to getting any info

Strange thing was Skoda customer services kept drilling me into remembering who I spoke to when I initially phoned when he pulled the sli number up on screen he was like "Lloyd is the guy you spoke to but he is not in today do you want to call back tomorrow?"

Me "not really "

Oh I'm so looking to the CSI questionnaire when it comes

Just an update to my previous post.

Recieved an email from Lee at Preston Motors this morning to let me know the Citygo is being built this week, with the car available for collection in aprox three weeks.

I didn't ask for the update.

Seeing the dealer tomorrow (Friday), so maybe he'll have some good news...

This sort of stuff is exactly why i am not ordering one now..... i don't want a car arriving on xmas day ! So i have decided to get one ordered about mid dec for delivery on 1st March 2013..... nice lucky 13 plate !!! But given all the above posts i may order it at the beginning of Dec !!!

Looks like they are currently building 5 doors at the minute without taking into account backorders for 3 doors I may get a build date next week

Ours was built last week as advised and it's on a boat already.

I know I rattle on about Preston Motors a bit (who sponsor this forum, if I didn't mention it already... ) but I have to say I am very impressed how they judge when the car will be built and arrive.

Best of all, they are usually pretty much spot on and have been on all the cars I've had off them (5 in 2 years) with never more than one week out on delivery at the point of ordering.

Ok, spoke to the dealer today.

They are still looking at an early October delivery date. Hope it's sooner!

Unfortunate as the MOT runs out on the 28th Sept for my current chariot.

They may be able to source me a loaner to tide me over. Here's hoping!

Dealer phoned today, and confirmed Citigo was parked in Germany awaiting transportation over the water to Grimsby. It`s been there for a couple of weeks now, as I had this news previously. Apparently, they wait for a full boat load of VAG vehicles before crossing to GB. So we are still a couple of weeks away.
