Revo 2 + Forge Actuator = ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I was looking at buying a forge actuator as I will probably go for Stage 2 Revo, I have all the mods needed for stage 2 including 100cel cat, ATP style manifold, SAMCO TIP, Pipercross CAI, 007P, EVO8 fmic

does it worth it? what will I get out of it? how will this make my car run better?

The reason I want to change it is because I have this k03s turbo now for 30.000miles and I am pretty sure that the spring within the factory actuator has gone a little soft, so I might be missing some torque. I managed to destroy the factory actuator from the previous turbo.

any answers would be appreciated.

Well if you std actuator is working fine then the forge would probably not give you any benefit. It is true that actuator can wear and then cause boost leak as not holding wastegate correctly, but this will be found out by the mapper anyway.

Are you holding onto good boost ? and when does your boost kick in at what rev's...

I think it holds pretty good boost for Revo 1, the actual boost is always higher than the requested one(through VAG COM), I have been having N75 issues and I remember I once saw 1.51bar last May, but I am replacing the one I have with a new N75J so I am guessing the boost will not go higher than 1.38bar.

I 'd say the turbo kicks in around 2.500 picking up at 3200-3500

I will try to get the exel files from the other laptop

I doubt the mapper will find anything, the car will be taken localy to someone who is a retailer of Revo and thats it. However, if I wanted to see if my actuator leeks, how could I do that? is there a VAG COM measurement block?

...so I suppose I could just twist my current actuator a turn or two?
