Superb II L&K 2012 - Ventilated seats and electric windows?

Featured Replies

Hi Briskoda community,

This is a two folded question.

1. On the L&K 2012, has anyone actually "Really" noticd the difference having them on either on your back or on your bum?

Thought the vento seats would cure sticky back/bum syndrome (either that or a visit to the dr's)

2. Borrowed a Octavia MK4 from the dealer and with the engine off the one touch works on Ocys but not on my L&K?

Appreciate any thoughts guys and Gals?

I have the L&K and was dubius about the ventillated seats but I must say that a couple of weeks ago on the first hot day since I got the car I used the ventillation on high and was quite pleased how effective it was. They do not blow but suck and the fan motor is quite big under the seat.

Not sure I got the 2nd question...are you talking about opening/closing the windows by holding the lock/unlock button on the remote? If yes see pages 20 & 34 of the Nov11 owners manual.

With the engine/ignition off the one touch does not work.

Danny 57 mentions that the fan under the ventilated seats is quite big. As a future L&K owner in 2 or 3 months, I'm intrigued where the hot, sweaty air sucked from your backside goes to? Does it get blown under the seat and into the face of anyone sitting behind you?

No.

What i mean is that in the Octavia MK4 (current) when you turn the ignition off (but dont open any doors) the one touch still works.

But in my £23K L&K it does not.

A bit disappointed by that but it is now a legacy car and the new Superb is due begining of next year.

But as usual no L&K until it is outgoing model.

PS: thanks to the poster about advising it sucks the air concerning the vented seats, i thought it blew it, no wonder i thought it wasnt working.

Think I know what you mean now...it's covered in the manual but this is something I'm having to get used to as well. See page 47 of the Nov 11 manual...

'After switching the ignition off, it is still possible to open or close the windows

for a further 10 minutes. The automatic window closing will not operate during

this time. The power windows are switched off completely once you open the

driver or front passenger door.'

On my old car the window buttons on the driver's door would operate (including the one-touch) for 10 minutes from the driver's door being opened regardless of where the key was, so I keep having to use the key to close windows that have been open on the car when parked. Just something else to get used to I guess...the rest of the car makes up for it though.

Yep you have got it.

Just an annoying trait about the Superb II.

sorry should have made clear i was on about the window switches and not the lock button.

:giggle:

Just hold the lock key button while you are walking away from car.

Thanks for the info, i am aware of this. Was just wondering if there was some setting i can get the dealer to tweak with VAGCOM to enable it.

Appreciate your help Gents.

Just an FYI, there is no new Superb due in 2013
