Replacement Climate panel issue - ventilated seat retrofit

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I've put in some ventilated seats from a 2021 Superb Hybrid L&K into my 2016 Superb L&K . The heated seat function, memory function all works great.

The issue I'm having is with the climate panel, I've ordered 2 different ones and each one has been from a crash damaged vehicle. When I plug them into my car, I'm getting a B139700 function limitation due to crash error. The only thing it allows you to do is turn on the heated seats and that's it.

I've taken the car down to a VAG specialist to try and code the new unit with Odis with no success.

I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas because so far I'm drawing a blank.

Thanks in advance!

Try to Flash the Firmware New.

Odis normaly have the Guide for Reset Crash Data.

You have Error Log?

@Mo97 - have u changed ur infotainment unit too?

MY16 uses MIB2.

MY21 uses MIB3.

The Climatronic panels need to communicate with the infotainment unit, hence u need to make sure they're compatible and u have done the appropriate coding and/or parameterization.

MIB3 is very different to MIB2, communication and modules wise.

If you have a factory MIB2, then you'll also communicate correctly with the climate control unit on the MIB3. Apart from that, the MIB has nothing to do with the crash data error message.
